Built for the Grind
Valeo started in a garage gym with a simple observation: most lifting gear was either overbuilt and overpriced, or cheap and unreliable. We wanted something different — equipment that could handle serious training without the unnecessary markup. So we started making our own belts, gloves, and wraps, testing them through thousands of reps until we got them right.
Today, we’re still that same company obsessed with finding the sweet spot between durability and value. Our gear shows up in garage gyms, CrossFit boxes, and weight rooms across the country because it does exactly what it needs to do: protect your hands, support your lifts, and last through years of hard training. We don’t sponsor celebrity athletes or spend millions on marketing campaigns. Instead, we put that money into better materials and tighter quality control, because at the end of the day, your PR matters more than our profit margin.
The name Valeo comes from Latin, meaning “to be strong” or “to be well.” It’s what we say to each other before a heavy set, what we hope for our customers every time they train. Whether you’re pulling your first bodyweight deadlift or chasing a 500-pound squat, we make the gear that gets you there safely. No gimmicks, no shortcuts — just solid equipment for people who show up and do the work.
We learned early on that the best feedback comes from the 5 a.m. crowd — the ones who train before work, who know the difference between gear that looks good on Instagram and gear that actually performs when you’re grinding out that last rep. That’s why every product goes through months of real-world testing before it hits our shelves. Our lifting belts get broken in by powerlifters pushing competition weight. Our gloves survive endless cycles of pull-ups, deadlifts, and farmer’s walks. If something fails, we go back to the drawing board. Simple as that.
Some companies chase trends — smart fabrics, app integration, whatever’s hot this quarter. We chase longevity. Your Valeo belt should outlast your current program, your next PR cycle, and probably several pairs of lifting shoes. We use thick, vegetable-tanned leather that gets better with age, industrial stitching that won’t blow out, and hardware that can handle real load. It’s old-school craftsmanship applied to modern training needs. Because when you’re under the bar, the only thing that matters is trust — trust in your training, trust in your strength, and trust in your gear.

Marcus T.
“These gloves survived 6 months of daily WODs, rope climbs, and bar work. The palm grip is still solid, and my calluses are basically gone. I’ve converted three people at my gym already.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Products come in a full range of sizes from XS to XXL. The sizing tends to run true to standard measurements, though checking the size chart for specific items is recommended. Belt sizes correspond to waist measurements, while gloves follow standard hand circumference guidelines.
Most fabric items can be hand washed in cold water with mild soap and air dried. Leather products benefit from occasional conditioning with appropriate leather care products. Avoiding machine washing and high heat will extend product lifespan significantly.
The equipment works well for all skill levels. Beginners appreciate the support and protection during learning phases, while advanced athletes value the durability during intense training sessions. Each product serves its purpose regardless of athletic ability.
With proper care, most items last 1-2 years of regular training (3-4 times per week). Heavy daily use may reduce this timeframe, while occasional use can extend it considerably. Signs of wear like fraying, loss of elasticity, or compromised padding indicate replacement time.
Many items work across different activities. Weight training belts function well for powerlifting, CrossFit, and general gym work. Training gloves suit weightlifting, pull-ups, and rowing machines. However, specialized sports may require activity-specific equipment for optimal performance.
Most retailers offer 30-day return or exchange policies for unworn items with tags attached. Trying products at home to test fit and comfort before removing tags allows for easy exchanges if sizing adjustments are needed.
